In 2004 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 31. In the spring of 2005, after chemotherapy and radiation, I was deemed healthy but left with the souvenir of Lymphedema in my left arm. I attended a wedding where I wore a short-sleeved dress that I have always loved wearing. The adventures of traveling aggravated my arm. Wanting to look good, I started the evening without wearing my compression sleeve. Halfway through dinner my arm became uncomfortable so I slipped on my compression sleeve, relieved with the comfort it gave. While it didn’t matter how I looked-my cousin was thrilled that I was alive and there to celebrate-I felt unstylish. Determined to take care of my arm, I now wear a compression sleeve during my waking vertical hours. Thinking about wearing a compression sleeve and long sleeves the rest of my life, I felt stifled and a lack of freedom. So I sewed some arm sleeves to dress up my arm, and the Sliver Sleeve™ was born. I feel more comfortable dressing up for evenings out. I love how it completes my outfit and I enjoy talking about the Sliver Sleeve™.

I know I’m not alone in wanting to take care of myself, look good and have a bit of fun. I hope Slice of Fashion LLC products can bring some joy and fun to your chronic health issues.

A portion of the profits from selling the Sliver Sleeve™ will go to Lymphedema research, a sorely under funded research science.

If you have any questions or comments please email or call me.

Cheers to your continued health,
Kim
